The Nature of Poetry Reflects the Inner Self of the Poet!
The inner state of a poet influences his poetry; because whatever you express stems from within you. The purer and cleaner your inner self is, the purer and cleaner your poetry will be. This is something that certainly deserves attention. We have seen examples of this — poets who write based on their particular inner dispositions, and their poetry reflects those very traits.
O Young Poet: Piety First, Poetry Later!
My advice is especially for young poets, who — by nature, because of their taste and delicate emotions — may be vulnerable to various issues. They should strive to focus more on piety, on adherence to the Sharia, and on deeper reflection upon spiritual and intellectual foundations.
Remembrance of God, Especially Emphasized for Poets!
Therefore, you see in the Qur’an, at the end of Surah Ash-Shu’ara (The Poets), it is stated regarding poets: *“Except those who believe, do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much.”Why the emphasis on *“remember Allah much”*? Of course, everyone is obligated to remember Allah abundantly; however, the fact that it is especially stated for poets shows that poets particularly need this frequent remembrance. In other words, it is essential for them to engage in abundant remembrance of God.

شاعری کی کیفیت، شاعر کے باطن کی عکاس!
باطن شاعر، شاعر کے شعر پر اثر انداز ہوتا ہے؛ کیونکہ آپ جو کچھ کہتے ہیں، وہ آپ کے باطن سے پھوٹتا ہے، آپ کا باطن جتنا پاکیزہ اور صاف ہوگا، آپ کا شعر بھی اتنا ہی پاکیزہ اور صاف ہوگا۔ یعنی اس پر یقیناً توجہ دینی چاہیے، ہم نے اس کے کچھ نمونے دیکھے ہیں، ایسے شعراء جو اپنی مخصوص روحیات کے ساتھ شعر کہتے ہیں، اور ان کا شعر ان روحیات کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔
ای شاعرِ جوان، پہلے تقوی بعد میں شعر!
میری تجویز یہ ہے کہ خاص طور پر نوجوان شعراء، جو طبعاً ذوق اور لطیف احساسات کی وجہ سے مختلف مسائل میں مبتلا ہو سکتے ہیں، کوشش کریں کہ زیادہ سے زیادہ تقویٰ پر توجہ دیں اور شریعت کی پاسداری اور معرفتی بنیادوں پر مزید غور کریں۔
ذکر خدا سب کے لئے، لیکن شاعر کو زیادہ تاکید!
لہذا آپ قرآن میں دیکھتے ہیں کہ سورہ شعراء کے آخر میں شعراء کے بارے میں فرمایا گیا ہے: “اِلَّا الَّذینَ آمَنوا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ وَ ذَکَرُوا اللهَ کَثیرا”؛ کیوں “ذَکَرُوا اللهَ کَثیرا”؟ ٹھیک ہے، سب کو ذکر کثیر کرنا چاہیے؛ تاہم، یہ کہ شاعر کو خاص طور پر یہ کہا گیا ہے کہ “ذَکَرُوا اللّهَ کَثیرا”، واضح ہے کہ شاعر کو اس کثرت سے ذکر کی ضرورت ہے۔ یعنی یہ کہ لازم ہے کہ ذکر کثیر بجا لایا جائے۔
